Easy Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste (optional)

 

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Mix with a whisk for several minutes until the sugar is mostly dissolved.
  3. Pour into a shallow freezer-safe container (9×12 pyrex works great).
  4. Freeze for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  5. Remove and stir contents.
  6. Freeze for another hour or until completely set.
  7. Store in an airtight container.
  8. Enjoy.
